The storm lasted for two weeks and finally a decision has been made. AS Roma has officially announced that Claudio Ranieri is no longer with the club. It comes as a mutual parting as Ranieri had handed in his resignation and the Friedkin family have chosen to back manager Gian Piero Gasperini.
It’s a highly divisive call to part with the former manager and club legend who only stepped away from the bench after a near miracle run last season.
In the clubs official statement they confirm their continued support for the current manager and expectations are that he will now still be on the bench for the centennial 2026/2027 season.
This now concludes one of the most legendary careers both as a player and manager in one of the clubs history.
