After not winning since March 8th, AS Roma’s primavera team finally broke the streak with a 3-2 victory over Cremonese.
Manager Guido’s team went on the road to take on the Grigiorossi, and immediately went on the front foot taking the lead in the 4th minute. Roma’s Australian teenage superstar, Antonio Arena, opened the scoring after stealing the ball from the Cremonese keeper and slotting the ball home.
Panico then doubled the advantage in the 35th minute following an inventive free kick from Almaviva to release him in behind the home teams defence.
Cremonese responded nearly right away through Achi in the 39th minute, and they subsequently tied the game in the 52nd minute with a penalty by Ragnolo Galli.
Roma however, were able to keep their nerve and seal the win with a 72nd minute striker from attacking midfielder Maccaroni.
The primavera now sit in 4th place in the standings with 56 points trailing Fiorentina in first by 6 points.
