Roma hammered Fiorentina 4-0 at the Olimpico on Monday night to give new life to their Champions League pursuit.
Nicolo Pisilli played a tremendous match pulling the strings from midfield and collected a goal from a brilliant trivela assist from Donyell Malen.
After being given the player of the match award the homegrown Roma youth product spoke to Sky Sport Italia.
He reflected on his MVP performance stating, “Yes, I think it wasn’t just me, but the whole team did well. We approached it in the best way possible and played at our best in the second half too. Something that perhaps we lacked against Bologna; we had become a bit complacent.”
He was then asked about the chances of making the Champions League and said, “I don’t know what the chances are, but I know that if we play like this we can get great results, that way we can believe in ourselves all the way.”
Roma are now 1 point back of a Champions League place, but only 3 games remain until the end of the season
