The future of Paulo Dybala at AS Roma is becoming increasingly uncertain, with the possibility of a summer departure now viewed as a concrete scenario.
While Dybala’s emotional comments following the match at Tardini were interpreted by some as a message aimed at Roma’s management, developments behind the scenes appear to point toward a growing connection with Boca Juniors.
Matteo Moretto reports that the player’s entourage has maintained frequent contact with Boca for several months as the Argentine giants continue working to bring the forward back home.
A key figure in the operation is reportedly Leandro Paredes, Dybala’s close friend and former teammate, who is actively pushing for a reunion in Buenos Aires.
Another report comes out today from Eleonora Trotta that Dybala is a priority for Gasperini and the manager is trying to convince the club to renew his contract. She reiterates again that Dybala’s hope is to remain with Roma, but is attracting interest from Boca, Fenerbahce, and MLS.
As things stand, the possibility that the upcoming Derby della Capitale could represent Dybala’s final appearance at the Stadio Olimpico in front of Roma supporters is becoming increasingly realistic.
Roma’s position remains one of caution financially. The club would like to retain Dybala, but only under more sustainable economic conditions as the Friedkins continue efforts to reduce overall wage costs. At the moment, however, a definitive farewell to the capital appears to be a genuine possibility rather than simple speculation.
