Roma Eyeing Attacking Talent Abline from Nantes

According to reports from FootMercato in France, Matthis Abline has emerged as a transfer target for AS Roma ahead of the summer window. Roma are reportedly in the hunt for a vice-Malen and are keeping tabs in France.

The 23-year-old Nantes striker is attracting growing interest after an impressive individual campaign despite the French club’s difficult season. Abline currently has 8 goals and 6 assists this season, establishing himself as one of the few bright spots in Nantes’ attack.

Roma are reportedly monitoring the situation closely as Gian Piero Gasperini looks to strengthen the club’s attacking options with younger and more dynamic profiles. He appeals to Gasperini due to his ability to play across the attacking line.

However, competition for the French forward is intensifying, with Monaco, Paris FC, and Crystal Palace also linked with the player.

Nantes, meanwhile, are demanding a significant fee of around €25 million to consider a sale. Reports from France claim the club already rejected an offer worth €15 million from Monaco, making it clear that negotiations for Abline will not come cheaply.

Abline remains under contract with Nantes until 2028 and is viewed as one of the most promising young forwards in French football.
