Roma’s search for a new sporting director continues to expand, with Matteo Tognozzi emerging as another profile appreciated by the club following Frederic Massara’s expected departure.
Tognozzi is considered a young and ambitious executive, similar in profile to Giovanni Manna, and is viewed internally as a director with significant long-term potential. The Italian built a strong reputation during his time in Juventus’ youth setup, where he was heavily involved in talent identification and player recruitment.
In recent years, Tognozzi has gained international experience working in Spain and Portugal, but reports suggest he is now interested in returning to Italian football.
His profile is reportedly well-liked at Trigoria as Roma continue evaluating candidates capable of helping shape the club’s long-term sporting project alongside Gian Piero Gasperini. However, Roma are not alone in their interest, with several other Serie A clubs also said to be monitoring Tognozzi closely.
