Sean Sogliano has emerged as a serious candidate to become Roma’s next sporting director as the club continues its search for Frederic Massara’s replacement.
According to reports in Italy, Roma’s pursuit of Giovanni Manna has stalled, while Tony D’Amico appears increasingly close to Milan, leading the Giallorossi to intensify their focus on the current Hellas Verona director.
Sogliano is highly regarded by Gian Piero Gasperini, with the two having previously worked together at Genoa. Their strong professional relationship is seen as a major factor behind Roma’s interest, as the club looks to build a technical structure fully aligned with Gasperini’s vision.
Roma’s ownership is expected to make a final decision soon as preparations begin for a crucial summer rebuild. Other names still linked to the role include Giaretta, Tognozzi, and Planes, although Sogliano’s profile has gained the most momentum in recent days
