Kone has been offered to Atletico Madrid

According to Matteo Moretto, Manu Koné has reportedly been offered to Atlético Madrid in recent weeks as Roma begin evaluating possible departures ahead of the summer transfer window.

Intermediaries have made contact with the Spanish club to discuss the French midfielder’s situation, although Koné is not currently considered a priority target for Diego Simeone’s side.

Despite Atlético’s lukewarm interest for now, several other clubs across Europe are expected to monitor the 24-year-old closely following his strong performances in Serie A this season.

As reported by Il Corriere dello Sport , the message in Trigoria is clear that 45 million euros isn’t even enough to start negotiations and bids won’t even be considered until after the World Cup. Kone was recently called up by France and is expected to play a significant role this summer.

Roma could be forced into important financial decisions this summer depending on incoming offers and Gian Piero Gasperini’s technical plans for the squad.

Koné is not the only player attracting attention. Evan Ndicka also continues to generate strong interest on the market after establishing himself as one of Roma’s most reliable defenders over the past year.

Roma’s summer rebuild is expected to involve at least one major sale, with the club balancing Financial Fair Play considerations alongside Gasperini’s desire to strengthen key areas of the squad.
