Gianluca Mancini’s brace gave Roma the derby victory over Lazio that they badly needed and thus jumping back into the top 4 of Serie A, 90 minutes away from Champions League football.

Asked about the victory and standings
“We’re happy, we’re in the position we wanted to be in. We won the derby, which is always a crucial match for us.”
On following Gian Piero Gasperini
“This moment has been going on since the beginning of the season. Since the training camp, we’ve continued to grow by following the coach’s ideas and have improved. There have been ups and downs, but we’ve done a good job of following Gasperini’s lead, and now we’re there.”
He then heaped praise on Gasperini’s mentality
“The coach was instrumental in conveying our objective of the Champions League, but we’ve always been there. We’ve been following him closely from the start, and now the final piece is missing. We deserved to be there.”
