Roma and Paulo Dybala are getting very close to agreeing on a new contract.
According to the Gazzetta dello Sport the renewal could be signed at any moment, with the club potentially announcing it as early as Monday after the final match against Verona — especially if Roma secure Champions League qualification.
Dybala has looked relaxed and happy in recent days, both because of his personal life and his strong form on the pitch. Talks between the club and his agent, Jorge Antun, have continued steadily, with both sides clearly wanting to continue together for at least another season despite interest from Boca Juniors and Fenerbahçe.
For Dybala, the issue has never really been about money.
Roma and the player’s camp are now working on a new deal that better fits the club’s financial structure and UEFA Financial Fair Play rules. His current salary of €8 million net per season is no longer sustainable under Roma’s new wage policy.
The club has offered a one-year extension with the option for another additional year. The proposed base salary is believed to be around €2–2.5 million net per season, but with several achievable bonuses tied to appearances, goals, and team results that could significantly increase his earnings.
Sporting director Ricky Massara has been leading negotiations in recent days, while vice president Ryan Friedkin is also expected to play an important role during his time at Trigoria.
