Roma and Inter Exploring Multiple Transfer Scenarios Involving Koné, Carlos Augusto, Frattesi and Çelik

Roma and Inter could become major protagonists of the summer transfer market, with several players from both clubs involved in a series of possible negotiations.

According to reports from  TuttoSport, Manu Koné remains one of Inter’s top priorities for next season. The Nerazzurri had already tried to sign the French midfielder last summer before Roma ultimately blocked the move. Inter are expected to return with a new offer once the season ends.

Davide Frattesi could become part of the equation. The Italian midfielder is expected to leave Inter this summer and a return to Roma is viewed positively by the player. Inter could propose Frattesi in order to lower the cash portion of a potential deal for Koné.

Roma, meanwhile, continue to show strong interest in Carlos Augusto. Gian Piero Gasperini appreciates the Brazilian’s versatility and experience in a three-man defense system, viewing him as an ideal fit for his tactical setup. However, Inter are reluctant to lose the former Monza player despite ongoing uncertainty surrounding his contract renewal talks.

The report also mentions Zeki Çelik as a player being monitored by Inter. With the Turkish defender’s contract situation still unresolved at Roma, the Nerazzurri see him as a possible low-cost replacement for Matteo Darmian due to his tactical flexibility and Serie A experience.

At the center of everything remains Koné. Roma may be forced to sacrifice at least one major player before June 30 to satisfy UEFA financial requirements, and the French midfielder is one of the club’s most valuable assets alongside Mile Svilar and Evan Ndicka.
