Roma are expected to accelerate their search for a new sporting director immediately after the final match of the season against Verona, with a new management structure beginning to take shape behind the scenes.
According to reports from Giallorossi.net, the Friedkin ownership is now seriously evaluating the possibility of pairing Fabio Paratici with Matteo Tognozzi as part of a revamped sporting department.
Tognozzi, currently at Rio Ave and formerly with Juventus, has seen his stock rise significantly in recent days. Gian Piero Gasperini reportedly appreciates his scouting network and ability to identify young talent, qualities that helped him emerge during his time with Juventus’ recruitment department.
Paratici also remains under consideration despite his recent move to Fiorentina. Roma continue to monitor his situation closely, especially given his experience at the highest European level and his strong reputation in transfer negotiations.
Tony D’Amico is still viewed as one of the leading candidates due to his excellent relationship with Gasperini from their years together at Atalanta, while Sean Sogliano remains another profile appreciated internally.
The Friedkins are expected to make a final decision shortly after the Verona match, with Frederic Massara increasingly likely to leave the club at the end of the season as Roma prepare for a major summer rebuild.
