Roma have reportedly joined Everton and Bournemouth in showing interest in Stuttgart winger Jamie Leweling ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to a report from German outlet fussballdaten.de, the Giallorossi are closely following the German international as Gian Piero Gasperini looks to add more pace and dynamism to Roma’s attack.
Leweling has enjoyed another strong season with Stuttgart, attracting attention from several clubs across Europe. Bournemouth had already seen a €40 million offer rejected earlier this year, while Everton are also continuing to monitor the player’s situation.
Stuttgart currently consider Leweling one of the club’s most important players and are reportedly demanding at least €50 million to even consider a sale this summer. The winger remains under contract until 2029.
Roma appreciate Leweling’s versatility and explosiveness. The 25-year-old can operate on either wing, as a second striker, or even in a more advanced midfield role — qualities viewed as ideal for Gasperini’s tactical system.
The German international has already faced Roma this season during Stuttgart’s Europa League meeting with the Giallorossi at the Olimpico, where he featured prominently in Sebastian Hoeneß’s lineup.
Roma continue evaluating several attacking profiles ahead of what is expected to be a major summer rebuild, with names such as Rafael Leão, Joshua Zirkzee, Antonio Nusa, Dan Ndoye, and Pepê also linked with the club in recent weeks.
