Tony D’Amico is increasingly emerging as the leading candidate to become AS Roma’s new sporting director.
According to Attilio Malena, continuous contacts are ongoing between the parties as Roma attempt to close the deal by the end of next week. D’Amico is currently considered well ahead of Sean Sogliano in the club’s shortlist.
Meanwhile, Filippo Biafora reports that D’Amico is currently among the very top names — if not the outright first choice — on Roma’s list for the sporting director role.
The Atalanta executive remains highly appreciated by Gian Piero Gasperini following their successful years together in Bergamo, with the Roma manager believed to be strongly backing his arrival as the club prepares for a major summer rebuild.
