After Roma secured Champions League football for next season there’s more room financially to negotiate with the remaining free agents in the squad.
Stephan El Shaaraway has already announced he’s leaving, and Paulo Dybala along with Lorenzo Pellegrini are very close to extending.
That leaves Zeki Celik. He is a staunch supporter of Gian Piero Gasperini, who badly wants one of his main men to stay at Roma.
The problem lies financially. At the moment Roma are only offering him 3 million euros according to La Reppublica and as an older player Celik is hoping to get something more lucrative.
They state that an offer of that kind has come from his homeland in Turkey and so far Roma haven’t matched it.
With more financial flexibility there could be a compromise to keep him at the club for its centennial season
