With Champions League Gasperini wants Nusa and Summerville

Champions League, here we come! Gasperini’s shout is the same one millions of Roma fans are feeling. After seven years, Roma are finally back in Europe’s top competition.

It’s not just about prestige — finishing in the top four also brings in a huge amount of money. Early estimates say Roma will make around €70 million just from qualifying. On top of that, there will be ticket sales, sponsor bonuses, league payments, and whatever they earn from their Champions League run, which they hope will go deep into the tournament.

Now the focus shifts to transfers. Roma want a left winger, a right winger, and a left-back. They could also add another player if Koné is sold to help balance the books.

The extra Champions League money, combined with what the Friedkin owners were already prepared to spend for Gasperini, means Roma can now aim for bigger targets.

Gasperini’s dream signing is Nusa, who Roma have been tracking for a while. Last summer, Leipzig wanted €60 million, which scared Massara off. But after an inconsistent season, his price may have dropped. Roma value him at around €40–45 million.

Gasperini is also a big fan of Summerville from West Ham. Since West Ham were relegated to the Championship, they’ll likely have to sell some of their top players.

Roma have also been watching Spanish youngster Muñoz, who recently signed a new deal with Osasuna that includes a €40 million release clause. Still, Real Madrid reportedly have a lot of control over his future.

And that’s not all — the transfer window hasn’t even opened yet, and players like Pepé from Porto have also been linked with Roma.

The key now is not wasting time. One major decision will be choosing the new sporting director to replace Massara. Right now, all signs point to D’Amico.
