According to Il Romanista, Atalanta has made its decision to stop delaying the inevitable.
After several days of discussions the Percassi family has reportedly given Tony D’Amico the green light to be released from his contract with Atalanta. This clearance paves the way for Roma to announce his arrival, with the sporting director already said to have a formal agreement in place.
D’Amico is expected to work alongside Gian Piero Gasperini in shaping Roma’s future project. In the meantime, he would oversee the final stages of negotiations for the contract renewals of Paulo Dybala, Zeki Çelik, and Lorenzo Pellegrini, before turning his attention to balancing the club’s financial books ahead of the June 30 deadline.
With Percassi’s approval now in place, only the final official confirmation remains—what Il Romanista describes as the final “white smoke,” this time in Roma’s colors.
