Pedulla: Soule is not untouchable. Scamacca track is cooling

As Roma begin shaping their squad for the 2026-27 season under new head coach Gian Piero Gasperini, two names continue to generate discussion among supporters: Matías Soulé and Gianluca Scamacca.

According to Alfredo Pedulla, Roma’s hierarchy does not consider Soulé untouchable heading into the summer transfer window. While the Argentine attacker remains highly regarded within the club, Roma would be prepared to evaluate significant offers should they arrive.

The stance does not indicate an active desire to sell the player, but rather reflects the reality of the modern transfer market, where substantial bids can influence strategic decisions.

Meanwhile, speculation linking Atalanta striker Gianluca Scamacca with a move to the capital appears to have little substance at this stage. Despite persistent rumors in recent weeks, reports indicate that there are currently no concrete negotiations between the clubs.

The Italian international has long been admired by many within the Roman football community, but sources close to the situation suggest that Atalanta continue to view Scamacca as an important part of their project and are not actively seeking to sell him. As a result, the possibility of a transfer to Roma remains remote for now.

Pedulla confirms Roma’s interest in Summerville, as well as Zirkzee, but that the club consider him a centre forward and right now are focused on wingers
