Negotiations between Roma and Zeki Çelik over a contract renewal are ongoing, with both sides expressing a desire to continue together. However, an economic gap of around €600,000 remains between the club and the player’s entourage.

The Turkish full-back, whose contract expires on June 30, is considered an important player in the squad and appreciates life at Roma. The club also values his versatility and tactical importance, and there is mutual interest in reaching an agreement.

Despite this, the main obstacle remains financial. The player is asking for a higher salary to extend his deal, while Roma are trying to keep their offer below his expectations. This creates the current stalemate, with no final agreement reached yet.

The situation remains open, and further talks are expected in the coming weeks as both sides attempt to close the gap and avoid losing the player on a free transfer.
