The Roma transfer market continues to explore possible opportunities for the summer window, and among the profiles monitored is Davide Zappacosta, currently at Atalanta.
According to reports, the Giallorossi have made an initial inquiry to gather information about the situation of the experienced wing-back. The move is part of Roma’s broader search for reinforcements on the flanks ahead of a season that will require a deeper squad, especially with European commitments.
However, Atalanta’s response was immediate and firm: the Bergamo club has no intention of opening negotiations for the player at this stage. The position of the club is to keep its key squad members and avoid weakening the team, particularly in an important phase of planning for the future.
Zappacosta is considered a reliable and experienced player within the Atalanta system, and the club views him as an important piece of the squad. For this reason, any idea of a transfer is currently blocked, with Atalanta effectively closing the door to Roma’s interest.
For now, therefore, the situation remains at the level of a simple inquiry, with no concrete negotiation underway.
