Gasperini sees El Aynaoui as a key player for next season

Corriere dello Sport reports that Neil El Aynaoui is one of the players Gian Piero Gasperini sees as a key part of Roma’s future. The Moroccan midfielder is highly regarded by the coach, who views him as a complete player capable of contributing in both midfield and attack.

His first season was one of steady growth, despite interruptions caused by international commitments at the Africa Cup of Nations and strong competition for places in midfield. With Koné, Cristante, and Pisilli often ahead of him in the pecking order, El Aynaoui found opportunities limited at times, leading to speculation about a possible move during the winter transfer window.

However, he finished the season strongly and gradually established himself as an important member of the squad. His goal and assist against Bologna, his place in the starting lineup for the derby, and his impressive performance in Verona highlighted his quality and potential.

Those displays reinforced Roma’s belief that they have a midfielder with a bright future ahead of him. El Aynaoui will now join up with Morocco for international duty, but at Trigoria there is growing confidence that next season could be the campaign in which he truly breaks through and establishes himself as a key player.
