Corriere dello Sport reports that Roma are working on multiple fronts as they look to build the squad Gian Piero Gasperini wants for next season. Alongside investments in established targets, the club is also exploring opportunities in the free-agent market.
One name under consideration is Remo Freuler, who could reunite with Gasperini after enjoying some of the best years of his career under the coach at Atalanta before his recent spell with Bologna. Roma are also keeping tabs on Franck Kessie, who is expected to leave Saudi Arabia, although any potential return to Serie A would depend on his wage demands.
On the flanks, Gasperini is a strong admirer of Dodo and Carlos Augusto, both of whom fit his preferred style of play. Meanwhile, Roma’s scouting department has been closely monitoring Tyrell Malacia. The Manchester United left-back is keen to revive his career after a disappointing season and is viewed as a potential option to strengthen the wide areas.
