Between today and tomorrow, the official appointment of Roma’s new sporting director is expected to be finalized.
According to Corriere dello sport the club has officially chosen Tony D’Amico, a figure well known to Gian Piero Gasperini, having already worked with him during their time at Atalanta. The prolonged wait over the past few days has two explanations: on the one hand, it represents a sign of respect toward the outgoing sporting director, Frederic Massara; on the other hand, it is linked to D’Amico’s contract with Atalanta, which still needs to be formally concluded.
