Roma head coach Gian Piero Gasperini is reportedly keen on signing a more established option for the left-wing position rather than pursuing young Bosnian talent Kerim Alajbegovic.
According to journalist Filippo Biafora, Alajbegovic was highly regarded by sporting director Frederic Massara and had emerged as a potential target for the Giallorossi. However, the financial demands involved in securing the player’s signature are considered significant.
As a result, Gasperini would prefer Roma to allocate its transfer budget toward a higher-caliber wide player who can make an immediate impact. The coach is believed to be seeking a more proven profile as he looks to strengthen his squad ahead of the new season.
While Alajbegovic remains an admired prospect, Roma’s current priority appears to be investing in a player with greater experience and a stronger track record at the highest level.
