As Roma continue to assess potential additions for the summer transfer window, and a name that’s getting more attention at Trigoria is Porto’s attacking winger Pepê.
Pepê’s profile and market value set him apart from other players linked with Roma, such as Mason Greenwood and Igor Paixão. Securing the Brazilian winger could require an investment of around €20–25 million, a considerably lower fee than those demanded for several alternative targets.
Moreover, Pepê is not a new name at Trigoria. Gian Piero Gasperini had already been keeping a close eye on the player a year ago and was impressed by his qualities, although no concrete negotiations ever materialized. While he is not currently the coach’s preferred option, he remains an appreciated candidate and could emerge as a transfer opportunity should favorable conditions develop for both clubs.
