Roma show interest in Vlasic

According to Corriere dello Sport, Roma are looking to strengthen their attacking midfield department, and one of the names still high on Gian Piero Gasperini’s shortlist is Nikola Vlašić. The Croatian international, currently with Torino, fits the profile Gasperini is seeking: creativity and quality in the final third combined with intensity, pressing ability, and a strong work ethic.

At present, there have been no direct contacts between Roma and Torino, but Vlašić remains a player of interest as the club awaits further developments in the transfer market.

The 28-year-old contributed 8 goals and 3 assists last season, establishing himself as one of Torino’s few consistent performers despite the team’s overall inconsistent campaign. His contract runs until 2027, with an option to extend it until 2028, although a renewal is not currently a priority for the player.

Torino are believed to value Vlašić at between €12 million and €15 million. For Gasperini, he would represent a versatile attacking option, capable of operating both as an attacking midfielder and in a deeper role, providing tactical flexibility and greater depth to the squad.
