Roma Keeping Close Watch on Barış Alper Yılmaz, but €50m Price Tag Looms Large

Roma continue to be active in the transfer market as they search for attacking reinforcements ahead of next season. While the club awaits the completion of its new sporting structure, the Giallorossi hierarchy is evaluating several international targets to provide Gian Piero Gasperini with players capable of adding quality, depth, and versatility to the attacking department.

A new name has emerged from Turkey: Barış Alper Yılmaz, the Galatasaray winger who enjoyed an outstanding campaign last season, delivering impressive numbers and consistently strong performances. The 25-year-old is regarded as one of the brightest talents in Turkish football and has reportedly attracted interest from several major European clubs.

According to A Spor, Roma are closely monitoring Yılmaz, who finished the season with 12 goals and 16 assists in 49 appearances across all competitions. Those figures underline both his development and his growing importance to the Istanbul-based club.

However, competition for his signature is expected to be intense. Arsenal are also said to have added Yılmaz to their list of potential attacking targets, further increasing the challenge for Roma.

The biggest obstacle remains Galatasaray’s valuation of the player. The Turkish champions view Yılmaz as a key part of their project and would reportedly demand a fee in the region of €50 million to consider a sale. While that price tag could make negotiations difficult, Roma remain attentive to the situation and continue to monitor the player’s progress.
