Ruggeri moving further away from Roma transfer

According to Il Messaggero, Roma have begun exploring the market for potential reinforcements ahead of the official appointment of Tony D’Amico, but moves remain at an early stage.

The club is expected to invest on the flanks as part of its squad-building strategy, and one name under consideration is Matteo Ruggeri, currently at Atlético Madrid. However, the interest is described as tentative, and he is not considered a priority target for the Giallorossi at this stage.

Ruggeri, who was previously coached by Gian Piero Gasperini at Atalanta, could already be open to a return to Serie A after just one season in Spain. Nevertheless, Roma’s current focus remains elsewhere as they assess more pressing needs in the transfer market
