According to Corriere dello Sport, Matteo Ruggeri’s profile continues to gain momentum as Roma search for reinforcements out wide ahead of the new season.
Meanwhile, the trail leading to Fiorentina’s Dodò is cooling considerably, with the Brazilian reportedly favouring a move to Napoli should he leave Florence this summer.
Roma, however, are exploring several alternatives. One name to watch is Davide Zappacosta, whose potential return to the capital remains an intriguing option given his experience and familiarity with Gian Piero Gasperini’s system.
The Giallorossi are also monitoring Atalanta youngster Lorenzo Bernasconi, while Catanzaro wing-back Costantino Favasuli has emerged as another profile under consideration.
With Gasperini placing significant importance on the wing-back positions, strengthening the flanks remains one of Roma’s top priorities as the transfer window gathers pace.
