According to Corriere Veneto, newly promoted Serie A side Venezia have set their sights on Stephan El Shaarawy.
The Lagunari view the Roma veteran as a marquee signing capable of bringing both experience and quality to the squad as they prepare for their return to Italy’s top flight. El Shaarawy’s leadership, versatility, and top-level experience make him an attractive target for the Venetian club.
The report states that Venezia have already presented an offer to the 1992-born forward. However, El Shaarawy has asked for a few days to evaluate his options before making a final decision on his future.
A response is expected sometime next week, with Venezia hopeful of convincing the former Italy international to join their project ahead of the new Serie A season.
