According to Angelo Mangiante, Roma’s contract renewal situation is developing with Paulo Dybala currently ahead of Lorenzo Pellegrini in the club’s priorities.
Dybala is highly appreciated by Gian Piero Gasperini, and despite some physical issues during the season, there is a strong mutual desire for the Argentine to remain in the capital. The parties are moving towards a two-year renewal with Roma.
The situation for Lorenzo Pellegrini is more delicate and remains at an earlier stage. The midfielder, who came through Roma’s academy, is currently in a more stagnant phase compared to Dybala, as the Argentine renewal is being handled first. No formal meeting has taken place yet, but Pellegrini also remains determined to stay at the club.
Gasperini considers both players useful for his squad, but the negotiations have not yet fully begun for the Italian midfielder.
For both cases, the expectation is that discussions will accelerate in the coming weeks, with the final negotiations likely involving Tony D’Amico, with the aim of reaching a resolution between late June and early July.
