According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Roma continue to work on the transfer market, but the club’s priority remains keeping its key players ahead of next season and their return to the Champions League. The Giallorossi are determined to give Gian Piero Gasperini the strongest possible squad to compete both domestically and in Europe.
As a result, the focus is currently on outgoing transfers rather than major sales.
The leading name remains Tommaso Baldanzi. After spending the second half of last season on loan at Genoa, the attacking midfielder could remain with the Rossoblù on a permanent basis. Following recent talks between the clubs, an agreement is reportedly close, with the deal expected to be worth around €9.5 million.
However, Baldanzi is not the only player who could leave Trigoria this summer. Following the departures of Saud Abdulhamid to Lens and Sangaré to Elche, Roma are also working on finding solutions for Luigi Cherubini, Alessandro Romano, and Anass Salah-Eddine as they continue to reshape the squad.
