Roma are continuing to work on multiple contract renewals as part of their broader squad planning for the coming seasons, with discussions involving key first-team players now underway alongside the well-known Dybala situation.
One of the most advanced cases concerns Zeki Çelik, whose future in the capital now appears increasingly stable. According to Corriere dello Sport an agreement between the two parties is effectively in place, with the €600,000 gross gap that previously separated offer and demand now bridged. Only minor formal details remain before the extension is finalised.
The renewal is also welcomed by Gian Piero Gasperini, who has consistently appreciated the Turkish full-back’s tactical flexibility and professional attitude, valuing him as a reliable option across multiple defensive roles.
Negotiations regarding Lorenzo Pellegrini, however, are at a less advanced stage. The situation has now been taken under the direct supervision of sporting director Tony D’Amico, who has already made initial contact with the player’s camp to open discussions.
Although talks are still in their early phases, there is a sense of cautious optimism within the club that an agreement can eventually be reached. Pellegrini remains an important figure in Roma’s project, and the club is working to find the right balance in shaping its long-term core.
As Roma continue to define their future structure, renewals remain a key priority alongside incoming transfer activity, with the aim of providing stability and continuity ahead of the next phase of the project.
