Romano Attracts Serie A Interest as Roma Weigh Sporting Value Against Financial Opportunity

Roma continue to assess their squad strategy in line with UEFA financial requirements, and one of the key internal decisions revolves around young Swiss midfielder Alessandro Romano, a product of the club’s youth system.

The 2006-born talent represents a significant potential capital gain for the Giallorossi, making him an attractive asset from a financial perspective should the club decide to sanction a sale this summer.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Fiorentina are among the clubs showing strong interest and are reportedly preparing an offer in the region of €3 million to test Roma’s position. However, the Viola are not alone in the race.

Sassuolo, Torino—who had already tracked the player in January—and Bologna, who have closely followed his performances during his loan spell at Spezia, are all monitoring developments around the midfielder.

From a sporting point of view, however, Roma are also carefully evaluating the possibility of keeping Romano within the squad. With Niccolò Pisilli, Neil El Aynaoui, Bryan Cristante and Manu Koné already part of the midfield rotation, the addition of a fifth internal option could provide depth without requiring further investment.

For Gian Piero Gasperini’s staff, the young midfielder could therefore represent either a valuable squad piece for the future or an important financial opportunity in the market.
