Roma expected to respond to Dybala counter proposal between today and Wednesday

Roma continue to work on contract renewals, a key step in defining the squad structure for next season and ensuring stability within Gian Piero Gasperini’s project.

One of the most delicate ongoing negotiations concerns Paulo Dybala, who is still waiting for a definitive response from the Giallorossi after the counter-proposal submitted by his entourage in recent days.

La Joya’s intentions remain unchanged: the Argentine is keen to continue his career in the capital and maintain a central role in Roma’s technical plans. For this reason, talks between the two sides have remained active, even if several details still need to be resolved before an agreement can be reached.

The main points under discussion include the structure of bonuses and the length of the new contract, both of which are currently being evaluated by the club.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Dybala’s representatives presented their counter-offer around eight days ago and are now awaiting Roma’s final response. The club is expected to reply between today and Wednesday, with optimism growing around the possibility of a positive outcome.

Barring unexpected developments, an agreement now appears increasingly close.

From a sporting perspective, Dybala’s continuity would represent a major boost for Gasperini, who considers the Argentine’s creativity and quality a key asset in the attacking phase. Roma also value his influence in the dressing room, where he is seen as an important leadership figure.

The situation remains one to monitor closely, but the feeling is that a successful conclusion is now within reach.
