Services Conference Officially Launched for AS Roma’s New Stadium

Rome Mayor Roberto Gualtieri has welcomed the launch of the Services Conference for AS Roma’s proposed new stadium in Pietralata, describing it as a crucial milestone in the project’s development.

Speaking via his official X account, Gualtieri highlighted the significance of the step for both the club and the city:

“The launch of the Services Conference represents a fundamental step forward for the future AS Roma Stadium in Pietralata and for the process that will allow Rome to equip itself with a modern, sustainable sporting infrastructure fully integrated into the surrounding area.

It is the result of the serious work carried out by the Administration over recent years, including two approvals by the Capitoline Assembly that helped define and reinforce the project’s public interest.

We will continue working alongside all the institutions involved to ensure clear timelines, maximum transparency, and rigorous evaluations, with the goal of taking advantage of the opportunities linked to the 2032 European Championship and delivering a strategic project for the entire city.”

The opening of the Services Conference marks another key stage in the approval process for Roma’s long-awaited stadium project, which remains one of the club’s most important objectives for the future. The proposed venue is expected to play a significant role not only in Roma’s long-term growth but also in the broader redevelopment of the Pietralata area.
