Neil El Aynaoui has emerged as a surprise target for Fiorentina following his impressive performances for Morocco at the World Cup, with the Viola reportedly exploring a deal that could also have implications for Roma’s search for a new wing-back.
According to Calciomercato.com, Fiorentina have added the Roma midfielder to their shortlist and could be prepared to make a significant proposal in an attempt to lure him away from the capital. The reported package would include €15 million plus the transfer rights to Brazilian full-back Dodô.
The potential inclusion of Dodô is particularly noteworthy given Roma’s long-standing interest in the Fiorentina defender. The Brazilian has repeatedly been linked with the Giallorossi in recent months and is considered a profile well suited to Gian Piero Gasperini’s tactical system thanks to his pace, attacking instincts, and Serie A experience.
