Recent reports linking Manu Koné with a move to Arsenal should be treated with caution, despite Roma’s need to generate capital gains before the June 30 financial deadline.
According to Matteo Moretto, the speculation surrounding Arsenal’s interest has been exaggerated. While Roma are evaluating options to balance their accounts, the French midfielder is not currently considered a priority target for the Premier League club and does not rank among the Gunners’ leading midfield options.
The situation is largely being driven by the player’s representatives, who are exploring potential opportunities that could benefit both Koné and Roma. At this stage, however, there is no concrete indication of advanced interest from Arsenal.
As things stand, the story appears to be more related to market positioning and agent activity than to a genuine transfer negotiation between the two clubs.
