Nottingham Forest have decided to temporarily halt their pursuit of AS Roma defender Jan Ziółkowski, according to Il Messaggero.
The two clubs had been in advanced talks and were close to reaching an agreement, but Forest have now stepped back from negotiations, putting the deal on hold for the time being.
Roma remain keen to secure a sale before the June 30 financial deadline and have reportedly lowered their valuation to around €15 million in order to facilitate a potential exit.
Despite the pause, the situation is not considered closed, with the possibility of talks resuming later in the summer depending on market developments.
