Manu Koné could become a key figure in Roma’s efforts to generate capital gains before the June 30 financial deadline, according to journalist Attilio Malena during an appearance on Retesport.
While much of the attention has focused on Matias Soulé in recent weeks, fresh developments suggest that Koné’s future may also be under consideration.
Reports indicate that the French midfielder’s representatives have informed Roma they could bring an offer worth between €35 million and €40 million before the end of the month.
Such a proposal would significantly help the Giallorossi meet their financial objectives and could influence the club’s transfer strategy during the final days before the deadline.
According to Malena, the interested club is neither Arsenal nor Inter, despite previous links, but another European side whose identity has not yet emerged.
The situation is particularly noteworthy because Koné has been viewed as one of the pillars of Roma’s future project. Gian Piero Gasperini is believed to rate the midfielder highly and considers him an important part of his plans.
However, with limited progress on other potential outgoing transfers and increasing pressure to balance the books, Roma could be forced to evaluate offers that may have previously been considered untouchable. As things stand, Koné’s name is becoming one to watch closely as the June 30 deadline approaches.
