Recent reports surrounding Lorenzo Pellegrini’s contract renewal may have been premature, according to Checco Casano.
While speculation has emerged regarding potential salary figures, contract terms, and even alleged requests from the Roma captain for a central role in Gian Piero Gasperini’s project, the reality appears to be far less advanced.
Casano reports that discussions between the parties have not yet fully entered the decisive phase.
As things stand, there has been a significant slowdown on the player’s side compared to what has been suggested in recent hours. Negotiations remain at an early stage, with key aspects of a possible extension still to be discussed in depth.
Pellegrini’s future at Roma is therefore still open, although there is currently no indication of a breakdown in relations. For now, both the contractual and sporting aspects of the situation remain works in progress as the club continues planning for the new season.
