Roma have received encouraging news on the financial front as the club continues to work toward meeting its Financial Fair Play objectives before the June 30 deadline.
According to Filippo Biafora, payments have begun following the Lega Serie A assembly’s approval of the €300 million transitional agreement with IMG related to the long-running dispute over the sale of international television rights.
At Trigoria, Roma’s expected share of the distribution was estimated to be between €15 million and €20 million.
The incoming funds represent a significant boost for the Giallorossi, helping reduce the amount of revenue the club still needs to generate before the end of the financial year.
This could ease some of the pressure surrounding potential player sales and other financial operations in the coming days.
Further relief may also arrive through the expected insurance reimbursement linked to Edoardo Bove’s case. If received in time to be included in the current accounts, that payment would provide an additional positive impact on Roma’s financial position.
With both developments working in the club’s favor, Roma may find themselves in a stronger position as they navigate the final stretch before the June 30 accounting deadline.
