Giovanni Malagò has been officially elected as the new president of the FIGC, marking a significant leadership change in Italian football governance.
The former head of CONI, Giovanni Malagò, secured a decisive victory in the federal elections, obtaining 68.58% of the vote. His main challenger, Giancarlo Abete, was defeated in a clear outcome that confirmed strong support for Malagò’s mandate.
The result signals a new phase for the FIGC, with expectations now focused on how the incoming president will steer Italian football in the coming years.
