Roma Target Bergvall and O’Riley as Koné’s Future Remains Uncertain

Roma are already looking at potential midfield replacements amid growing interest in Manu Koné from Atlético Madrid and Arsenal. Gian Piero Gasperini is keen to maintain the squad’s quality and expects a worthy successor if the French midfielder leaves.

According to Leggo, Roma are focusing on opportunities in the Premier League, particularly loan deals. One of the main targets is Tottenham’s Lucas Bergvall. The 19-year-old Swedish midfielder impressed last season, recording one goal and five assists in 1,465 minutes, while also standing out for his physical presence.

Another player on Roma’s radar is Matt O’Riley, the Brighton midfielder who spent part of last season on loan at Marseille. The Dane, previously admired by Gasperini during his time at Atalanta, finished the campaign with two goals and six assists in 1,487 minutes.

Should Koné depart, Bergvall and O’Riley are among the leading candidates to strengthen Roma’s midfield.
