Juventus Make Initial Move for Svilar, But Roma and Agent Shut Door

Juventus have made an early attempt to explore a possible move for Roma goalkeeper Mile Svilar, but the approach was quickly rejected. According to Marco Juric, new Bianconeri general manager Giovanni Carnevali held initial contact with the player’s agent to assess the situation surrounding the Serbian shot-stopper.

However, the response from Svilar’s camp was reportedly firm and unambiguous. The goalkeeper’s entourage made it clear that Roma have no intention of selling their number one, with the player considered central to the club’s long-term project. The message to Juventus was that any potential offer would fall well short of Roma’s valuation.

Juric reports that even the highest possible bid Juventus could present would amount to roughly half of what Roma would require to even consider a sale. As a result, the Giallorossi’s stance remains unchanged: Svilar is not for sale, and any approach from direct rivals is expected to be firmly dismissed.
