Roma’s summer transfer plans extend beyond strengthening the attack, with Gian Piero Gasperini also determined to add another high-quality wing-back ahead of the new season. According to Il Messaggero, the Giallorossi are actively evaluating options on both flanks as the club looks to increase the technical quality and depth of the squad.
One of the names under consideration is Atlético Madrid full-back Nahuel Molina. Roma are assessing both left- and right-sided players, particularly because Wesley’s versatility allows him to operate on either flank, giving Gasperini greater tactical flexibility. Molina’s experience and ability to contribute in both phases of play make him an attractive profile for the Giallorossi.
However, a deal remains difficult to complete. Atlético Madrid are reportedly demanding around €30 million for the 1998-born Argentine international, while competition is also intensifying. Inter are said to be tracking Molina as they search for a replacement for Denzel Dumfries after missing out on another target, meaning Roma could face stiff competition if they decide to pursue the defender more aggressively.
