Roma could face fresh competition in the race to sign Kerim Alajbegovic, with AC Milan now showing interest in the highly rated Bosnian winger.
The Giallorossi have been monitoring the youngster for some time, but his impressive performances at the Club World Cup have reportedly caught the attention of Zlatan Ibrahimović.
According to reports, Ibrahimović has been particularly impressed by Alajbegovic’s tactical intelligence and technical ability while working as a television pundit during the tournament.
Although Milan have yet to make concrete progress, the Rossoneri are expected to keep a close eye on the situation once they complete changes to their sporting structure.
Roma remain firmly in the race, but any move will be far from straightforward. Bayer Leverkusen are reluctant to part with the talented winger and are in no rush to negotiate his departure, meaning interested clubs may have to work hard to convince the German side to sell.
