Inter have identified Roma full-back Wesley as a potential reinforcement for the right flank, but prising him away from the Giallorossi is expected to be extremely difficult.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Nerazzurri have added the Brazilian to their shortlist as they look to strengthen the position following Denzel Dumfries’ departure. Wesley’s pace, athleticism, and ability to contribute in both attack and defense make him an ideal fit for Inter’s system.
Roma, however, have no intention of entertaining offers. The club reportedly considers Wesley a key part of Gian Piero Gasperini’s project and is unwilling to open negotiations.
The report adds that Chelsea previously made a significant attempt to sign the Brazilian, but Roma rejected the approach outright. After failing to make progress, the Premier League club shifted its attention elsewhere.
Despite Inter’s interest, Roma’s position remains unchanged. The Giallorossi view Wesley as untouchable and are determined to keep him as a cornerstone of the squad for the upcoming season.
