Roma have received an unexpected financial boost thanks to former academy graduate Davide Frattesi.
According to Filippo Biafora, the Giallorossi are set to collect €300,000 after performance-related bonuses were triggered in the transfer agreement between Inter and Sassuolo during the 2025-26 season.
When Roma sold Frattesi to Sassuolo, the club negotiated a percentage of any future resale. As part of that agreement, the Giallorossi are also entitled to a share of certain bonus payments linked to subsequent transfers.
With the latest bonuses now activated, Roma will receive an additional €300,000—a welcome injection of funds as the club continues to manage its finances while preparing for the new season under Gian Piero Gasperini.
The clause is another example of Roma benefiting from the foresight of including sell-on provisions in deals involving academy products, allowing the club to continue generating revenue long after a player’s departure.
