Alessandro Romano’s Move to Cagliari in Doubt as Roma Prepare Fresh Talks

Alessandro Romano’s expected transfer to Cagliari has hit an unexpected obstacle, putting the deal at risk just as it appeared close to completion.

According to Il Messaggero, negotiations have stalled after Cagliari sought to change the agreed terms of the transfer. Roma were unwilling to accept the revised conditions, despite already granting the Sardinian club a significant discount on the midfielder’s valuation.

The uncertainty has reopened the race for the highly rated youngster, with both Sassuolo and Palermo continuing to monitor the situation closely and remaining interested in signing Romano.

However, the deal is not dead. According to Filippo Biafora and Manà Manà Sport Roma, new talks between Roma and Cagliari are expected in an attempt to break the deadlock and reach a final agreement.

The coming hours could therefore prove decisive, with Roma hopeful of finding a solution while interest from rival clubs continues to grow if negotiations ultimately collapse.

Update:

According to Filippo Biafora Alessandro Romano’s move to Cagliari is all but complete with only the official announcement remaining.
